PRELIMINARY DETAILS OF INCIDENT:

On the 27^th of September, at approx 09:30 to10:00 at the end of DD#5…  They were performing a routine lift using a sky crane to lift and rotate a block.  During the lifting operation it appears as if during the transfer of load from one set of lifting pad eyes to the other, one of the two pad eyes now supporting the load from the sky crane gave way. 

The load dropped and spun out of control… fortunately the remaining one pad eye held and the entire load did not come down…  There were a significant numbers of people that were near or possible under the load when the incident happened..

The picture was taken a few minutes after as they were trying to get the swinging load under control…

I’m just glad that none of our crew was injured in this incident.

So scary lah ! ><

They gave me a drilling tool today and made me drill !!! It's so damn FUNNNN ! It's real HEAVY gun-shape drill and it comes with a set of abstruse devices. It look like some kind of top-notch equipment in James Bond movie! Haha. Just missing bullets !! I should get my dad replace our old-fashion drill at home ! So not HIP larhh !!

I had to use all my strength while drilling !!!! Bubba (Mr. Toolpusher) had to give me a push before i complete my FIRST drill. I'm just not strong enough. Speaking of which, that is a really cute nick name right!? BUBBA ! Hehehe.. And he's a superb person ! Used to be a police man. A engineer now and a chef back home !! Most important of ALL, he takes good care of me !! Love him to bits !

I should take pictures of all my grand-dad at work some day !!

Reached home at 11pm feeling burned and snappy. Saw the new range of breakfast snack on our dining table. I feel like the luckiest little mommy girl on earth right now.

I was just voicing out randomly on how i would love to have THAT for breakfast. The next day, she bought ONE WHOLE BOX of THAT.

Arghh... Things are getting crazy these days. 9 working hours are not enough anymore! But since im in the shipyard, I can hardly work late. All my mgrs are trying to kill me! I have so much to do that i feel lost sometimes.

Worst of all, my old man has left the project!! He’s now in LA!! It's no FUN in the office without him ! No one calling me DUDE ! No one joking arnd ! I miss him!! I’m so glad that he will be back in Singapore to visit in November!! And we had agreed to visit MOS again! Yes, how hip is my ex-mgr!

Speaking of which, it was really hilarious that day! It was Mr. Suresh’s last day in Singapore. Thus, we agreed to go out for a drink @ MOS.

I had so much fun with them. On the other hand, I had so much fun laughing at them. No, just HIM! Mr. Sudesh Bagri to be specific. HAhhaa…

He is one of the nicest guy I’ve seen. He ran from boat quay to MOS just because I was alone. He didn’t want me to wait alone at “such” (with respect to the older generation’s mindset/ people living abroad) places. I though that was really sweet. None of my guy friend would do that! They don’t see it as a big deal when a girl is waiting alone for them.

While he’s at MOS, he even called her wife to make sure that she’s not worried. I can understand if they are still in courtship or dating phrase. But, its 7 years of marriage. You don’t see a 40 yrs old man calling his wife for 20mins. And chatting HAPPILY!!

You might be thinking, "ehh is he a xiao nan ren?"

Hohoho, no worries. A manly figure for sure. I'm pretty sure that no one would say that about him at work.

I was actually FORCED to go for the dinner. Mgrs/colleagues were complaining about my absenteeism. So, the plan was to just “show face” and leave after 1 hour! Lol… Turns out, it was an absolute failure. It was hell of a drinking fun with those old men! I had 4 glasses of red wine and one whisky shot before I was allowed to leave!

Ha-ha. They might be old but they are really HIP!!
